A Walk to the Park

This Thursday we took a walk to the park near our house.  MayLynn got excited when I put her in the stroller - she likes going for walks.  Owen got ready to go with his had and his sunglasses - they didn't stay on very long, but he sure does look cute with them on.

MayLynn likes being outside and likes to look at everything around her.  I can't tell how much she can make out, but she is just content to sit and enjoy the good weather while Owen plays.

Owen likes to run and play, and it's really hard to get him to look at the camera while he is playing, but I was able to catch a couple good pictures of him as he played.

A really nice lady who was walking at the park took a picture of the three of us playing together.  I know we're not looking at the camera, but who cares, we were having fun.

I'm really glad that we can get out and enjoy the good spring weather.  I really like playing with my kids!

Favorite Toys

Owen and MayLynn both like to play with toys.  Owen has his cars, trains, legos and lots of other toys, and he will go through phases of playing with each of them, but right now he really likes to play with MayLynn and her toys.

Holding MayLynn is like magic.  Owen will sit still when he holds her, and he will also pose for pictures with the camera.  It's also a really great way to calm him down when he's hyper.  I'm thinking we'll have to try it next week at church when he starts getting to wiggly :).

MayLynn likes playing with Owen too and her face lights up whenever he comes near her.  She also really likes playing with her Daddy - she gets excited when she hears his voice from across the room.  Her favorite toy is her "Cuddles" that her daddy gave her.  It helps calm her down, and even helps her sleep better.

Happy Easter

The Smith Family came to visit last Saturday afternoon, so we let the kids have an Easter Egg Hunt.  Owen and Harvey had fun looking for the eggs and Lia had a lot of fun playing with the eggs.  After his basket was full Owen kept looking for eggs and put them into Harvey's basket or gave them to Lia to play with.  I'm very grateful that my little boy likes to share with his friends.

Exploring with Family

We had a visit from Grandma Allen, Aunt StacyAnn & StacyAnn's boyfriend, J. J. Maxwell this past week. We had a lot of fun exploring different places around St. Louis. 

We visited the Missouri History Museum:

We also went to the zoo, ate Irish fare at Llywelyn's Pub and barbecue at Bandana's Bar-B-Q, and just enjoyed being together as a family.  We're going to miss them when they're gone, but we're glad that they came to visit.
