At the Park

I took my kids to the park today.  The walk went well we had fun while we were there.  Here are a couple of pictures:
Owen kept an abandoned truck company while we were at the park. He played with it in the wood-chips and gravel, and even discovered that trucks can go really fast down the slide.
MayLynn slept through most of the experience in the stroller, but did wake up for the last little bit that we were there.  She seemed to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and I know that I sure did.

The Third Week

MayLynn is now 20 days old. Her favorite pastimes are sleeping, eating, sleeping, playing, and cuddling while she plays and sleeps.  I have some cute pictures of her that we've taken over the past week that I wanted to share:
Two of MayLynn's favorite toys right now are a mirror and a black, white & red rattle block.  She will lay on her blanket and stare at the mirror, or reach out to touch the block to make it rattle.  She's a smart little girl.

She also has very expressive, dark blue eyes that she uses to "talk" to her family.
Who can resist a sleeping baby?  Isn't she adorable?
Play time is so much fun!

Play Time

We all have fun playing with MayLynn.
Here she is having a conversation with her Daddy.
Here I was able to play with both of my kids at the same time.
Owen is a great big brother and plays very well with his little sister.  Their favorite game: Owen puts the rattle-block on MayLynn's tummy or just within her reach and MayLynn knocks it off or away and smiles when it makes a rattling noise.
I look forward to many, many more hours of family play time.

Cute Little Girl and Her Family

Bryce and I took some pictures of MayLynn on Tuesday when she was just one week old, and this is one of our favorites.  So far she is sleeping pretty well, though we still have to teach her that 4 in the morning is for sleeping, not playing :).  I (Jennie) am recovering more or less. My c-section pain is doing well, although I seem to have picked up a mysterious rash that I hope will go away quickly. . .  Owen is adjusting pretty well to being a big brother.  Grandma Royer went home yesterday and Owen is missing her, but he is doing well.  We enjoyed having her here, but since my dad and sisters are fending for themselves it was time for her to go back home.  Bryce has enjoyed being home all day with his family, but gets to go back to work on Monday and we'll get to discover our new "normal."  Wish us luck!
