Pretty Little Girl

We took some pictures of MayLynn in her blessing dress today so I will be sure to have pictures - no matter how busy I get this weekend.

This first picture shows her whole dress as well as the headband I made to go with it:
Here are the booties that go with the dress:

Here are just some cute pictures showing the different moods of our MayLynn Elizabeth:

Summer Comes to Campus

The kids and I spent a couple of afternoons with Bryce at Saint Louis University's campus this past week.  It had been a while since I had let Owen see all of his favorite sights, but he remembered them and we really enjoyed them.  He got to feed the koi fish and was even brave enough to put his hands in the water and had fun "petting" the fish.  He may have gotten wet and muddy, but he was all smiles :).
MayLynn wasn't quite as excited about all the sights, but she enjoyed being outside, playing on the grass, watching Owen run around, and being carried around by Mommy.  She also liked the sound of the water fountains.  Owen too liked playing on the grass, running around, and tried to figure out why the statue girl was lying on the grass.
I'm so very glad that Bryce's campus has kid friendly places for the kids to play when we're waiting for Daddy.  It is very beautiful, especially this time of year.

The End (of the Season)

Bryce finished up the last show/rental in the theater for the year.  As the ghost light (above) lights the stage for the rest of the summer we will be able to look back and say we survived Bryce's second year of teaching, having MayLynn (including Owen and I attending a Strike 2 days before she was born since Bryce didn't want to be away from us for an entire evening), and the many late nights.  He will still be teaching one class until the end of June, but other than that we have the summer off and will get to have some well earned family time.  Thanks for all of your hard work Bryce! We love you!

Truck Day

A couple of weekends ago the city brought out a bunch of their vehicles and let kids come to the park and get up close and personal with them.  I took Owen to see them, and yes, he really enjoyed it.  He got to climb on them, pretend to drive, and in some cases they even let the kids honk the horns.
Owen's favorite vehicles were the excavators.  He spent nearly a half-hour climbing on, around, and in them.  He would have stayed there all day if I would have let him.
I don't know what Owen is going to do when he grows up, but I think at least at some point he will drive a tractor of some sort - even if it is just for fun.

Kiddo Collage

I am so very blessed to have two beautiful children.  I took over 150 pictures this past month, and rather than try to post all of them and say something witty about each one, I decided to choose my favorites, create a collage and share it with all of you. So without further ado, here are my beautiful kiddos (and their wonderful Daddy too):
